Surat Thani is where I wanted to be.

I've been sick the past few days and haven't been able to sleep. Tonight is the same old story. So I wanted to write, while I'm at it.

We flew to Surat Thani early in the morning.

On the drive, I got Cortni to sample one of these bananas

I bought these flowers to show Cortni about
the Thai culture—also they smelled nice in the car.

Lovely lunch in a gas station on the side of the road.

She seems to agree

We got to Ratchaprapa Dam and she still had no idea what she's signed up for

Awwww...

P' Mitt —the captain of our ship.

This is a surreal place. Water is everywhere and the mountains so tall and green.

I told you it was awesome.

Cortni will proceed to kill me after this picture—
but I don't know a cuter person.

Are these the raindrops Chopin was talking about?

Ready to go swim in the dam!

I love these pictures!

Amazing macro photo by Cortni. She had a real connection with that dragonfly.

I'm telling you again that this place is surreal. I know I'm pretty good.

We went for a canoe ride, then it rained like there wasn't a
tomorrow while we were in the middle of no where.

Like I said, not to be repeatedly cheesy, but I don't know of a cuter person.

This is one of the 3-4 floats in this dam. We were the only residents.

Some mushroom growing on bamboo. Everything floating here was bamboo.

Great view during dinner— after a huge rainstorm.

We might have been feeding one of these fishes earlier.

Early sunrise.

Cortni loved the color on that boat. I loved the flare in my lens.
The morning, we were offered to pay a bit more to go see a cave.
I didn't want to go at first, but Cortni was persuasive.
Even on the way, the trip was already worth it.

Like I said, it was awesome.

This Bob Marley leaf was found during our 20 minute hike to get to the next picture.

We rode to the other side of the dam with one of these bamboo boats.

Inside the "Coral cave" this man showed us an amazing cave discovered only a few years ago.

Touristy picture. Cool tree!

Inside of a mushroom— yes, the same ones that get you high.
We found out people find them here—too bad we weren't offered any.

This picture deserves its own blog entry, but I will not be that daring— needs no explanation, doesn't get any more natural than this.

On our way back, P'Mit showed us the main attraction rock formation.
We didn't care too much since we both have had the most amazing time of our lives.

I was a little sad we didn't have more time here. I will visit again very soon. Not many tourists know about this place and it's a good thing. A lot of wild life live here and it's nice to be emerged in nature once in awhile.

We drove to Phuket afterwards. It's nice to be able to be around someone the whole day without wanting to kill each other.
