An Art Commission

A long while ago, a woman named Luck (Wannarat Simpson) asked me to take a few fine arts photo for her.

She wanted flowers, but one at a time, in pictures that is similar to human portraits. She wanted them to have attitude, personality, and human-like qualities.

I've been exploring the ideas of square frames lately. I'm trying to really center things. For some reason these composition jump out at me, because we are so used to the beautiful offset golden rule stuff. I think I look at some of these and they are more imposing. They are the center of attention, but they just refuse to move away.

Luck keeps complaining how slow I'm taking on these but I'm not quite ready to sign them off yet, because I don't think they are quite complete and I need a bit more creative input in them.

Let me know what you think of the series so far in the comment. I'm not really looking for compliments, although they are nice. Constructive if you can. Thanks!

Pete

  1. OMG................
What does "Anonymous" mean in your dictionary?
Anyway, they all look nice, but I like the Water Lilly the most. Can you make their personalities shine even more? (ha ha ha)

  2. Think Agelina Jolie, Marilyn Monroe, and Gweneth Paltrow in the way that most people perceive them. I think the Water Lilly could be Paltrow though. They don't have to be square if you don't like. Remember this... I'll put in my living room no matter where I will be. And people would ask about them. ROFL...(I am not that demanding. Whatever you like them to look like, I'd be happy anyway)
